Sie half anderen Leuten aber ihre eigene Familie wollte nicht viel mit ihr zu tun haben, da sie anscheinend eine sehr strenge und unzugaengliche Mutter war. Sie veranlasste Todesanzeigen fuer ihre Schwester Wilhelmina und ihren Bruder Peter Ernest in der Broken Hill's Zeitung. Auch gab sie ein Jahr nach dem Tode ihrer Mutter Fanny in Albany, WA einen Nachruf in der Broken Hill's Zeitung auf. Fanny ging dann wieder nach Balaklava zurueck. Sie legte ein Familiengrab an auf dem Balaklave Friedhof fuer ihre kleinen Brueder und Schwestern, Peter, Hilda und Norman, und einen Gedenkstein fuer Jacob Zimmermann und ihre Eltern, obgleich diese woanders beerdigt sind. Fanny Bowen legte noch ein Familiengrab und Gendenkstein fuer ihre Eltern und einige Geschwister auf dem Friedhof in Balaklava an. Sie ist auch dort beerdigt. Fanny verstarb im Krankenhaus von Balaklava im Alter von 92 Jahren.
